Two Birds, One Stone

As you know, I am a self-love-lova. Which is why I bought myself this BKR eco-friendly water bottle for myself for Christmas. I thought to myself, ‘It’s improving my mental & physical health, & it is damn cute.‘ So I went ahead & got it. I absolutely love it, it has not left my side since I bought it. My mum has always been a firm believer in drinking plenty of water (especially when I played soccer). So even though I’m not home anymore listening/taking your advice, I am still referring to my ‘Momma’s wisdom’ file frequently. I’ll still say it loud n’ proud; Momma knows best!

AND, the best part about buying a BKR bottle is that they  invest a portion in initiatives that combat the global water crisis and bring clean water to people who don’t have it. Support TWO great causes… Those in need, as well as your own health. Treat yourself love, don’t cheat yourself. XOXO

Back To Reality

After a truly perfect Christmas I am back in the office for a week full of training new recruiters & catching up on ‘to do’s’. It’s nice to say that after a long weekend it’s not so bad coming back to work. That’s what happens when you love your job. I hope you all had an amazing Holiday weekend, I can’t wait to see pictures & hear all about the time spent with your loved ones. This week I will be working on a couple of things, one of them is getting Alans work on my page. He is an amazing photographer and I want to share his work with all of you. Until I get some time to do that between packing etc. I will give you this link  that will take you to his blog. Enjoy your day my loves! XOXO

Ps. These two are my favorite. This is why I love my job…

To You & Yours

This morning I woke up at 8:30 and realized I had presents I still had to buy. That was a neat feeling.

So my day has been spent running around with my cute grandma shopping. We came home, turned on her favorite Christmas movies, and started wrapping. I never usually enjoy wrapping but it has been so much fun. She is cooking apple crisp & I’m making little smokies & appetizers. I love her so much. Being home for Christmas this year is going to be so special.

Happy Holiday to you & yours, xoxo Bailey

Oh… You don’t give yourself self-love gifts….?

Today I Am Loving…

This man bouquet. Every man would love this, I guarantee it. I’m ready for my lady bouquet, which would entail bubbly, lipstick, makeup brushes, & whatever else. (Not tampons. We can take care of that. Thanks though)

These bite sized pieces of baked brie. I was raised in a home where garlic & brie are a favorite, so I am all about these.

This man, for reminding me that sometimes you just have to jump and know that someone will catch you… And for being the one I can trust enough to do so. (Oh & for loving me even though I’m crazy) I love you so much.

This loft bed with a built in closet underneath. I love how simple it is, and the organization is awesome. I can’t stand childrens bedrooms with toys & what not just laying there waiting until you roll your ankle on them or puncture your foot.

This woman! 83-years-old Bette Calman is living proof that the ancient art of yoga can do wonders on the human body. Bette Calman has been practicing and teaching yoga for the last 40 years and, although other people her age can hardly move anymore, she can pool of difficult yoga moves that put teenagers to shame. She can execute the “peacock” a difficult position in which the body is held horizontally, using only the power of the arms,  the “bridge”, “lotus” and can stand on her head with unnatural ease. Asked when she is going to retire, Calman said ‘You’re never too old. The body is a remarkable instrument. ‘It can stretch and stretch, and get better all the time. Forget age’ Ms Bette Calman teaches up to 11 classes every week, in Williamstown, Australia, teaching others the remarkable effects of yoga.

Because she could probably kick my ass.

Getting seconds at our work luncheon (because I can)

Savers providing me with an oversized sweater that I can’t get enough of. It probably came from a 90 year olds closet, but sweaters don’t require background checks. As long as they can mingle with my Litas & non-traditional Christmas nails, we’re fine.

My amazing grandma. I love her everyday, but especially when she sends me to work with airborne, crackers, & detailed instructions for nursing a cold/inversion-rebellion. She also knew exactly where my leg warmers were this morning when I was frantically trying to find them before work. ‘What would you do without me?’ Well grandma, I don’t have a clue.

So there are a few of my favorite things. What are you loving today?

I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good

When you pour in a hot drink, it turns from “I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good” to “Mischief Managed.” In addition, the 11-ounce mug also also turns from black to white, completing the transformation…. Aaaand this is on my wish list. All coffee/tea/hot chocolate lovers, you can thank me later. (Kidding, I found it via Pinterest.. Shocking, I know)  xoxo

Oh Charlie

I bought my first pair of Litas!! I had to return my boots I bought at Nordstrom because they weren’t fitting right. So I switched my boots out for a pair of Litas & a pair of black Sorrels for this Winter. I am so excited. These are two shoes I’ve wanted for quite some time. I’m so thankful I am able to treat myself sometimes… It’s always nice to see your hard work paying off in multiple areas in your life.

Dinner was a success, and I have to say, I make some mean teriyaki chicken. The only thing I would do differently is I would soak the chicken over night and double the sauce. Other then that it was perfect.

The Christmas tree is set up & so is my Grandmas facebook. Seriously. I helped her get it set up tonight because she wants to stay in touch with everyone. She also told me she is going to get an upgrade for her cell phone as soon as she can so she can learn how to text. Probably the cutest thing on earth. Roxy was a fabulous little helper while we decorated the tree. We watched Charlie Brown because we both decided that the news sucks. I am so happy I’m able to spend the Holidays with my family this year. What are some of your family traditions?

Holiday Sanity

Tonight grandma & I are going to decorate the Christmas tree together. I haven’t been in the ‘Christmas spirit’ yet, so hopefully this does the trick. We were going to have clam chowder for dinner, but decided to go the less traditional route & have teriyaki chicken & rice. I am following this recipe because this is my first time making it. For those of you who are vegetarian, first of all, kudos. Second of all, if you’re craving a teriyaki dish I found a vegetarian version made with tofu. Let me know if any of you decide to try it. I hope you’re all having an awesome Monday! I will post more later this evening. In the mean time here are a few things I thought I’d share with you.

25 Handmade gifts under 5$ (All are super cute. #1, 2, 3, & 13 are my favorites.)

A DIY face mask for those who feel like their face is rebelling against them this Winter (I’m with you sister)
