“How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the strong, because someday in your life, you will have been all of these.” -George Washington Carver (1864-1943); botanist, agricultural chemist, inventor, educator
There isn’t anything wrongwith working for the finer things — but there is definitely something right about learning to slow down & bask in the fleeting moments in life. With that said, I wish you just that this weekend. And, if you feel like it, try & stop & enjoy the things you’d normally look past. It’s not always easy, but in this case, it’s usually worth it. Can’t wait to hear how it goes.
Ps. This girl ain’t hard to please… The best treat in the world is love. So sure, spoil me ;)
Martin Luther King Junior said it perfectly… “I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
