I lovegenie jars. When I saw this on Pinterest, I think I got a little more excited than the average person… But this is nothing new.
Do you love Genie jars? If so, where is your favorite place to go to find them? I adore this website, 1stdibs. Even if you browse their online shop just to get inspiration, I still love it because they have a nice variety. Pier1 is also a great place to find little trinkets and treasures such as those pictured above. If you’re feeling adventorous, make a day of thrifting & look for them while at your local thrift shops. You can get things for a better price, and it can be fun having some DIY projects with things you didn’t pay much for but saw potential in (my thrifting-partner, Kelsey Loraine, is hardcore. We don’t mess around… well I do, but she doesn’t)
I know you really wish you could just wiggle your nose & squint your eyes like Bewitched & have all of these appear — or if you’re not into that, you can always fold your arms across your chest, blink, and dip your head like Jeanie. People may or may not see me do this often… I usually just don’t really try & explain. Don’t mind me, I’m just pretending to be a genie over here. Continue on…
I stayed up until 4:30 a.m. to work on my articles (I’m learning that it’s worth the late nights 99% of the time) BUT you just wait… I’ll get a small cup of coffee in me & I will be set. Deadline is at 9 p.m. and it’s looking like I should be meeting it — hallelujah thank the lord, girlfriend can finally finish a paper or two. By late afternoon I will be dancing around in my house — probably doing moves like this on the kitchen floor…
As some of you may know, I’ve been lacking a bit in the blogging department. Normally, I would have done my best to create an inspiring, uplifting, earthshaking post about today, the first day of Spring. But if today were even close to normal I would also be doing what I do every year on the first day of Spring: Enjoying the sunshine with a cold beverage in one hand and more guncles in reach for the other then you can even imagine.
Fortunately this little blog has connected me with some pretty incredible people, Jani being one of them. She honestly makes me laugh my ass off on a regular basis while providing me with the most interesting stuff to think about (good articles, facts, etc.) She wrote this post about the first day of Spring and after reading it I felt like all my weird inner blogger-guilt went away. I didn’t feel so bad about not writing one myself because hers said everything I would tried to put in mine and some. Minus the rambling of course, good lord. Anywho, pop over and read her blog, it’s awesome.
I hope you’re all having a fabulous week so far and that it will only continue to get better. I also hope you’re all shining your light like it ain’t never been seen before. Yes, I did just say that. Yes, I am from Utah. Oh my hell. That’s my que.
