Walking On Broken Glass

When things started to get bad all I wanted to do was dance in the kitchen in my favorite dress. Music has always been therapeutical for me when times are tough, and I’m sure a twirl can make the world a bit sweeter if you simply believe. I haven’t danced for weeks now… So tonight, for old times sake, I’m going to let it all go in a dress that is too pretty to sit on a hanger waiting for that special evening out. Perhaps it’s time to celebrate turning a new page & having an open book. All I know is I’m ready to dance again, and that’s a start.

  1. Beautiful picture! Music is therapeutic for me as well, it takes me away to look at my issues from another perspective. Great post :)

  2. Love this! I’m glad I’m not the only one who needs a good dance-fest once in a while! Even if it ends in tears, it’s productive. What songs are your favorite for cheering yourself up?

    • Ah I love your point about it being productive even if/when it ends in tears. Amen to that! I love listening to Annie Lennox’s album “Diva” as well as Lauryn Hill, Adele, Beyonce, and Ryan Adams. I’m a music junkie. How about yourself?
