I have really wanted to share this concoction that can make it feel a little more like Spring in your home with a few simple ingredients. Unfortunately, I was not able to find all of the ingredients at my local grocery store, so I will share in high hopes that you will be able to find what you’ll need.
(Thank you to “One more moore” where I found this lovely potion)
You need a small stockpot filled about 2/3 full with water. 1 lemon, sliced, and a few sprigs of rosemary. Then add 1-2 tsp of vanilla. Add water throughout the day as needed. You can keep the same mixture for around 2 days but after that you will need to throw it out.
Ooh the things I’d do for my own herb garden (or my mothers) — Let me know if any of you try it out. Cheers to Spring & the birth of new & beautiful things!
What I wouldn’t do to have at fresh herbs to try this potion but will have to wait until the herbs come back in the garden. Promise to try.
Oh me too! I wish I lived closer to my mum she has an amazing herb garden. When you can make it, let me know what you think!
Is it just for aroma? Or do you drink it?.. I just dont get it :( haha
Just for aroma:) I should have been more clear about that, sorry! It’s nice when you Spring clean and want a fresh yummy scent in your house.
I’m assuming it was hard to find rosemary? In the past, I’ve found it hiding next to the pre-packaged salad and veggies.
Either way, I can’t wait until my next grocery trip. I’m planning on trying this out.
For some reason they didn’t have it by all of the herbs/veggies where it usually is. Maybe it’s out of season, I’m not sure. Awesome, let me know what you think!
Thanks for this suggestion! I love the smells that go along with spring. I’m actually going to try this out today. I`ll be sure to let you know how it goes.
I do too, it’s so nice and refreshing! I finally found some rosemary & made this yesterday — it smells so lovely. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
